EFET recalls chocolate from Lidl – worms found
The Hellenic Food Authority (EFET) has recalled a popular chocolate product sold at Lidl supermarkets after worms and larvae were found in the packaging following a consumer complaint.
EFET, specifically the Regional Directorate of Western Greece, confirmed the presence of larvae and worms in the product "VEGAN CHOCOLATE WITH HAZELNUTS, VEMONDO" during an investigation of the complaint.
The affected product is "VEGAN CHOCOLATE WITH HAZELNUTS, VEMONDO" in a 180g package, with batch number L 34161a and a "best before" date of 15.04.25, distributed by Lidl Hellas.
EFET has demanded the immediate recall of this specific batch, and related inspections are underway.
Lidl Hellas has already posted an advisory for consumers on its website, urging anyone who purchased the product not to consume it.
