The earthquake that occurred in Thessaloniki frightened the residents of the city.
A seismic tremor felt in the city of Thessaloniki shook residents at noon on Sunday 31 December.
According to the Automated Resolution of the Geodynamic Institute, the earthquake had a magnitude of 2.9 and occurred 12 kilometres southeast of Sohos, a town in Thessaloniki. The focal depth of the tremor is estimated at 5 kilometres.
