Early fight against mosquitoes
The Eastern Macedonian Tarkya State Presidency announced its mosquito-fighting efforts.
It was stated that the spraying with a helicopter from the air started on Monday, April 4, from the Avdira (Bulustra) coast of Xanthi.
The fact that the pilot using the helicopter was a woman creates a high attention.
In a statement made by Xanthi State Vice President Kostas Kurtidis on his sosyla media account, he thanked the pilot Evangelia Haskopulu, who used the helicopter, Nikos Apostolidis, Angeliki Arabacı, Athanasios Fraggopoulos, and Nikos Komninakidis from the Xanthi Provincial Health Directorate officials.
"Maybe the summer heat hasn't hit yet, but we believe early action produces better results." said.
State Vice President Kostas Kurtidis personally went to Mirodato, where the employees of the company doing the spraying and the teams of the Provincial Health Directorate were present, and inspected the work.
Kurtidis also stated that it was observed that the construction works were in accordance with the signed cooperation protocol.
As it will be remembered, spraying, which started late in the past years, caused the desired results not to be achieved in the fight against mosquitoes.
