The problems and solution suggestions of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority in the field of discrimination and intolerance were voiced at the OSCE Complementary Human Dimension Meeting.

On 25-26 May 2020, the subject of "Combating Discrimination and Intolerance" was discussed at the Complementary Humanitarian Dimension Meeting organized by the European Security and Cooperation Organization (OSCE) for the first time on the internet. On behalf of the Western Thrace Minority Graduates Association, Meltem Giritli, Onur Mustafa Ahmet and Pervin Hayrullah attended the meeting and expressed the problems that the Western Thrace Turkish Minority had recently experienced and offered solutions to the Greek state.

On the first day of the meeting, Onur Mustafa Ahmet took the floor in the first session and expressed the recent problems regarding the Azan and Ramadan drums, the practices of discrimination against the Minority, the issue of imams tried to be determined despite the reaction of the people, and the issue of the fountain in Yanıköy, which was recently destroyed. The Greek Delegation answered Onur Mustafa Ahmet, that none of the practices happened that are stated by the minority members.appen.Speaking on behalf of BTAYTD.

On the second day of the meeting, in the second session, Pervin Hayrullah, who spoke on behalf of BTAYTD (Western Thrace Higher Educateds Association), cited the problems of the Turkish Minority about ethnic identity and hate speech with examples. The Greek Delegation exercised its right to reply after Hayrullah's speech. In the 3rd Session of the meeting, speakers from different countries had the opportunity to express their own issues and after this session, the general report of the meeting was read and the meeting was ended.
