Anna Diamantopoulou, PASOK’s head of political planning, ruled out any post-election cooperation with the governing New Democracy party, citing fundamental differences over values, institutions and democratic governance.
In an interview with Efimerida ton Syntakton, the former EU commissioner stressed that the party cannot work with New Democracy on political or moral grounds.
A recent Metron Analysis poll showed PASOK support at 9.8%, down from 11%, while New Democracy edged up to 22.3%.
Polls indicate it would be difficult for New Democracy to win an outright majority.
Greece’s next legislative election is scheduled for March 2027.
