Civil servants to strike on Thursday
Civil servants will hold a nationwide 24-hour strike on Thursday, in response to the introduction of the new disciplinary law bill for a vote in Parliament.
The Civil Servants’ Federation (ADEDY) argues that the bill criminalizes social and political activity and is demanding its withdrawal.
In Athens, ADEDY is calling on public sector workers to attend a protest rally at Syntagma Square at 10.00 a.m.
Air traffic controllers to hold four-hour work stoppage on Thursday
The Greek Air Traffic Controllers Association announced that it will participate in the nationwide strike on Thursday with a four-hour work stoppage from 9.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.
According to the announcement, during the work stoppage, only overflights of the Athens FIR, government flights, Hellenic Air Force missions, and emergency or humanitarian flights will be served.
