Child benefit application platform A21 opens on May 30, 2025
The Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family, together with the supervising agency Organization of Benefits and Social Solidarity (OPEKA), announced that the online platform for the A21 Child Benefit applications will open on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 08:00.
The platform will remain open to accept new applications until Monday, June 30, 2025, at 18:00.
Eligible applicants can submit their requests through the websites idika.gr or opeka.gr, using their personal Taxisnet login credentials.
The benefit amount will be calculated based on the number of dependent children declared in the 2025 A21 application and the total family income declared in the 2023 tax year. After the submission of the current year’s Income Tax Return, the 2024 tax year income will be taken into account for recalculations.
Among the eligibility criteria is the mandatory school attendance of dependent children, from pre-kindergarten through junior high school, including adequate attendance.
Applicants must fill in essential information in the A21 application, including:
School details
Grade and Registration Number of the child attending compulsory education
If all student information is verified, the application proceeds normally. If discrepancies are found, applicants will be notified to upload the required supporting documents electronically.
To complete the application process, the form must be submitted definitively and approved. Applications saved temporarily but not finalized will be considered incomplete and will not be processed.
