Racist Golden Dawn MP Ioannis Lagos, known for his recent act against the Turkish flag in the European Parliament was arrested after the Golden Dawn Party was founded 'criminal organization' by the Greek court.
In the past months, Lagos was sentenced to 4 days of non-participation in parliamentary activities in a symbolic manner after he tore the Turkish flag in the Humanitarian meeting of the European Parliament for the migrants in Greek Islands.
However, this was not the only investigation that went through the racist MP! In 2015, the lawsuit started with the accusation of 'establishing a criminal organization' by the Golden Dawn leader Nikos Michaloliakos and 68 members of the party's deputies and members. The Greek court has made it official that the far-right Golden Dawn Party is a criminal organization, following the investigation that started after the murder of anti-fascist rapper Pavlos Fitsas by George Rupakias, a member of the racist Golden Dawn party in Athens in 2013.
In the case that lasted for approximately 5.5 years, the court delegation stated that the Golden Dawn Party leader Nikos Michaloliakos and 6 party members Ilias Kasidiaris, Ioannis Lagos, Giorgos Germenis, Ilias Panagiotaros, Panagiotis Iliopoulos and Nikos Papas 'led the crime organization', and the other 18 were members.
