Another MP resigns from the Spartans (Spartiates) Party
Far-right Spartiates Party MP Haralambos Katsivardas announced that he has resigned from his party and will continue to serve as an independent MP.
After this resignation, the number of deputies of the Spartan Party in the parliament dropped to 10.
Haralambos Katsivardas, MP for the Spartan Party in the Northern Region of Athens, has sent a letter to the Speaker of the Parliament, Kostandinos Tassoulas, stating that he has resigned from the Spartan Party Parliamentary Group and will continue to serve as an independent MP.
The Spartans Party, which is represented in the parliament with 12 seats, dropped to 10 seats with the resignation of Kostandinos Floros and Katsivardas, who had previously resigned from the parliamentary group.
With the resignation of Katsivardas from the party, the number of independent deputies in the parliament increased to 4.
Previously, Mihalis Hourdakis and Areti Papaioannou resigned from the "Plevsi Eleftherias" party headed by Zoi Kostandopoulou and became independent MPs.
