A female NIKIS member slaps the ND parliamentary deputy Ag. Delikari in a church
On Sunday morning at the church of Agios Konstantinos and Eleni at the Poulidio nursing home in Kavala, at the end of the Divine Liturgy, a woman approached New Democracy MP Angeliki Delikari and slapped her. As it turned out, the perpetrator is a party member of NIKIS and the reason was Ms. Delikari's vote for the bill on same-sex couples.
In a statement, New Democracy condemned the attack on its party's deputy, Angeliki Delikari, and said, among other things, in its statement that "attitudes of hatred and division can have nothing to do with faith and religion" and considered "self-evident and imperative the condemnation of the attack by all parties".
The incident was condemned by both SYRIZA in a statement and by Thanasis Glavinas, spokesman for PASOK-Movement for Change.
Unthinkable and unacceptable act NIKIKI characterizes the incident with the attack against Angeliki Delikari, and confirms the suspension of the party status of the perpetrator, who is a member of NIKI, and the immediate referral to the disciplinary with a question of deletion.
