Overtime soars in sectors using digital labor card

Overtime has surged in industries covered by the Digital Labor Card program, according to data from the Labor Ministry’s Ergani database.

From January to July 2025, overtime hours in these sectors rose by 80% compared with the same period in 2024. More than 3.5 million overtime hours were logged in the first seven months of this year—an increase of 1.5 million hours over last year’s figure.

In July alone, recorded overtime climbed 76% compared with July 2024. Officials noted that all sectors where the Digital Labor Card is in place have shown significant increases.
