New toll rates to take effect on Egnatia Motorway in 2026

New toll rates will come into force on the Egnatia Motorway from midnight on Jan. 1, 2026, under a concession agreement approved by the Hellenic Parliament in December.

Tolls on the motorway linking Gümeniçe (Igoumenitsa) to Bahçeköy (Kipoi) in Meriç (Evros), as well as on its vertical axes, will be set at €0.04 per kilometer, plus VAT. Permanent residents living within the geographical boundaries of the Egnatia Motorway will be granted free passage for a two-year period.

For passenger vehicles, the total cost of traveling the full route from Gümeniçe (Igoumenitsa) to Bahçeköy (Kipoi) using all main toll stations will increase to €30.45, up from the current €24.45. 

Discount subscription schemes under the EgnatiaPass will no longer apply.
