The European Central Bank (ECB) published the monthly changes in corporate and consumer loans for June.
Accordingly, corporate loans, which increased by 4 percent on an annual basis in May, increased by 3 percent last month. Consumer loans increased by 1.7 per cent last month.
M3 money supply, which increased by 1 percent in May, rose by 0.6 percent on an annual basis in June.
The slow growth in M3 money supply is seen as an indicator that the rate of increase in inflation may slow down in the future. However, the relationship between money supply and inflation is now considered to be very complex.
