'Shame on you for lying': Serbian President attacks Dora Bakoyanni over Kosovo
Dora Bakoyannis was in Aleksandar Vucic's crosshairs, with Serbia's president accusing the former foreign minister and European Parliament rapporteur on Kosovo's accession to the Council of Europe of changing the terms of her proposal on Kosovo.
"Suddenly she regretted being very stable and strong. Then she remembered that the ZSO (Union of Serbian Municipalities, with a majority Serb population in Kosovo) is not important. And then she remembered that expropriation wasn't important either. I know very well who gave the order for you to abandon your principles and behave like this. Shame on you," Aleksandar Vucic said, referring to Dora Bakoyannis.
Vucic's comments against Dora Bakoyannis were made during an address from the Palace of Serbia.
Vucic also said Western legal experts said the ZSO is not only an internal matter, but an international legal obligation of Pristina. "They then received a letter from Kurti and Osmani undertaking to form the ZSO once they have been accepted as members of the Council of Europe. They lie for the thousandth time. And the bottom line is that those who approve of it know they're lying. And look at the paradox, as with the first date.
It is likely that the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe will take place on the 11th anniversary, on 18 or 19 April, 11 years after the adoption of the Brussels Agreement and the non-establishment of the Council of Europe. Just to see that the dating game is not accidental: They think they can humiliate Serbs forever," he added, including in his address, in which he referred to the latest developments on the Kosovo issue.
