The "Science Travellers Balkans" mobile education project, organised by Kartal Anatolian Imam Hatip High School with the support of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), met with students in Pristina, the capital of Kosovo.

The opening programme of the "Science Travellers Balkans" project, organised in cooperation with Alauddin Madrasah, was held at Alauddin Madrasah's Pristina school with the participation of representatives of Turkish institutions and organisations in the country, academicians, students and guests.

Şeyda Çimeli Aydın, Undersecretary of the Embassy of Türkiye in Pristina, said at the opening ceremony that the relations between Kosovo and Türkiye are at a very good level in every field.

Şeyda Çimeli Aydın said, "With this project, we want to increase the interest of Kosovar young people in science, support their education, and add the interest and love of these students in science to one of the bridges that already exist between our countries.

Kartal Anatolian Imam Hatip High School Principal Özkan Öztürk emphasised that the project, which they started in 2015 as a travelling science festival, has been organised in 12 countries and more than 20 cities.

Pointing out that the project was organised in the Balkans for the 4th time, Öztürk said, "(Science Travellers) is a project that represents Türkiye and brings together countries and geographies with which we have a heart connection on the ground of science."

Jakup Çunaku, representative of Alauddin Madrasah, and Ekrem Simnica, Director of the Islamic Union of Kosovo Diaspora, also made speeches.

After cutting the opening ribbon, the guests visited the stands and examined the scientific studies of the students.

The "Science Travellers Project", which aims to increase the interest of the society in science and where students have the opportunity to learn through practice, was implemented by Kartal Anatolian Imam Hatip High School in Istanbul in 2015, and with the support of YTB, it has started to be organised in the Balkans since 2017.
