Rıdvan Ahmet issues a statement on the election results

The mayor Ridvan Ahmet, who came second in the second week of the elections with the votes received by the candidates of the Democratic Power List, stated that it is pleasing that the elections took place in a democratic and friendly atmosphere and that the high participation is a pleasing situation.

Ridvan Ahmet's statement on the elections is as follows

"Dear people of Kozlukebir Municipality, we are pleased that the local elections of 8 October were held in a democratic and friendly atmosphere. Thus, we sincerely thank everyone who went to the polls and voted yesterday. The high participation rate is a pleasing development for democracy. 12.612 votes were cast in this election and according to the finalised results, our Democratic Power list received 4092 votes and finished in second place with a difference of only 347 votes. We congratulate Mr Tarkan Multaza, Chairman of the Hope List, and his team, who finished the first week in third place, and we express our satisfaction that this process took place within the framework of democracy and respect. We would also like to congratulate Mr Erdem Hüseyin, Chairman of the Unity List, and his team, who finished first, albeit with a small margin, and wish them success in the race in the second week. The contribution of each candidate is important in the democratic process and the will of our people is always prioritised. The will of our people is above everything. In the second round, with the permission of Allah and the support of our nation, we will be the winners, our people and Kozlukebir Municipality will be the winner."
