Kosovo student who graduated first in Trakya University Faculty of Science is grateful to Türkiye
At the Faculty of Science graduation ceremony held at the Balkan Congress Centre, 91 students experienced the joy of graduation.
In his speech here, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aydoğdu said that Trakya University is among the top 30 universities in Türkiye.
Stating that international students from all over the world, especially from the Balkans, receive education at Trakya University, Aydoğdu wished the students success in their professional life.
Dean Prof. Dr. Özlem Çetin Erdoğan stated that thanks to the strong academic staff of the Faculty of Science, students acquire professional competence at the university.
Gizem Şari, a Kosava national who graduated from Trakya University Faculty of Science with the first place, stated that she was proud of successfully completing the Department of Biology, which she started 4 years ago with excitement.
Expressing the happiness of realising his dreams, Şari said, "During my university education, I realised that the important thing is not to excuse and hide behind problems, but to focus on solutions and make efforts. Even making this effort is a chance for me. Because there are children in the world who have been killed who cannot strive for their dreams and cannot deal with them. I wish for a free world where every child in the world has the opportunity to strive and strive for their dreams."
Thanking the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities and Trakya University for their support throughout his education life, Şari said that he was grateful to Turkey for providing education opportunities to international students.
Speaking at the ceremony, Şari's mother Hacer Şari said that she was very touched and proud of her daughter.
Stating that Turkey is always with them, Şari said, "We are a minority in Kosovo, but I would like to thank you for giving our children the chance of education."
After the speeches, graduation certificates were given to the students. A student came on stage wearing a keffiyeh around his neck to support Palestine.
At the ceremony, the students also unfurled a banner reading "Endless thanks to our families who had a great influence on us".
In his statement to journalists after the ceremony, Şari stated that he loves Turkey very much and that he will continue his master's degree at Trakya University.
