Greece: Third Largest Balkan Importer of Turkish Goods in 2022
Türkiye's exports to the Balkans rose 28.7% year-on-year to nearly USD 14 billion in the first eight months of 2022, the Anadolu Agency reported.
According to data from the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly, which unites the country's exporters' organizations, Romania was the main destination of Turkish exports with USD 4.2 billion in the January-August period.
It was followed by Bulgaria with more than USD 3 billion, Greece with USD 1.9 billion, Serbia with USD 1.2 billion and Slovenia with USD 1.1 billion in the eight-month period.
From January to August, Türkiye exported goods worth USD 665.5 million to Albania, USD 485.8 million to Bosnia and Herzegovina, USD 430.9 million to North Macedonia, USD 400.9 million to Kosovo, USD 393.6 million to Croatia and USD 110.2 million to Montenegro, the data showed.
